Materiel is a successor of one of the oldest local apparel manufacturers in Georgia, Fashion House Materia, whose roots date back to 1949. Rejuvenated in 2014 by Maia Gogiberidze, the brand started by incubating young designers to develop and advance.

As of now, Materiel expanded its strategic focus, striving to create an eco-conscious clothing manufacturing practice. Using an innovative approach, the Tbilisi-based label commits to maximizing the use of available resources to create unique clothing ethically.
